Fall Fun

Pilot Mountain has the most beautiful leaves

You wake up to colorful leaves falling with the wind, you pull on your favorite sweater and booties, you walk out the door and take a trip to the best coffee place in the world, camino! You ponder what there is to do today.  Well there are neverending options…

Apples, apples, apples, all different shapes and sizes!

The best place to see the most beautiful trees is the mountains, so take a trip to Hanging Rock or Pilot mountain! It takes under an hour to get to each of these and the view is priceless.  Don’t forget to pack a backpack with some granola bars and water bottles, you’ll need the energy from all the walking! On your way home, I highly suggest going Apple picking. There are plenty of farms in Winston-Salem, Sprinkle’s Blueberry Farm, Clodbuster Farm, and Joyce Farms.  They give you a basket and you’re off to pick any apples you want. You do have to pay for them, but it is totally worth it. It is also a really good place to do a fun photoshoot with your family or friends, so bring a camera, wear a cute sweater, and strike a pose!

Create your own fall wreath for everyone to see!

After a fun filled day in nature, it’s time to get crafty.  It’s time to create a fall wreath! All you do is, buy a plain wreath or a double wire in the shape of a circle, some leaves, a hot glue gun, scissors, and anything else you want to add to it, like a bow, or a letter! Place the decor on the wreath and glue it down and make sure you let it dry for multiple hours before picking it up.  Place this adorable wreath on your front door and invite your friends over to make an apple pie! You just got lots of apples from the farm, so you’re all set. You could even make some apple cider.

Picture this: warm apple cider and apple pie, sitting by a bonfire with your best friends.  You all are laughing and eating around the fire, as the leaves fall and the air gets cooler.  Don’t forget to wear a big sweatshirt and roast some marshmallows! When you come inside, curl up on the couch and binge watch some Christmas movies since Halloween is over and the cold weather gets us all in the Christmas mood.  A fun filled fall day will never get old.
