Looking for a new way to combine art and fashion? Plenty of Converse “chucks” can be seen around Wake’s campus, but we have yet to see them plastered with Andy Warhol motifs like prints of his iconic Campbell soup cans.
Behold, the beloved American brand, Converse, is pairing their classic sneaker with the designs of the late Andy Warhol! Warhol is most famous for his groundbreaking modern “pop art” style and his active social life mingling with other celebrities and socialites. His cultural influence is still prevalent in all areas of design and beyond.
Although this is not first time his artwork has been incorporated into other designs (see the previous Retrosuperfuture sunglasses and Tim Bessell surfboards), this is sure to be a memorable collaboration.
On February 7th, these limited edition Converse x Andy Warhol sneakers will be available for purchase at select locations. (At an affordable price too!) Make sure to snag a pair of these before they run out.
