DIY Marble Coffee Mugs

I don’t know about you, but when I think of fall, I think of hot chocolate. To fuel my obsession, I have a growing collection of coffee mugs. But, one of my favorites is a DIY  that is the perfect dorm room craft or fall break activity–the marbleized coffee mug:

The best thing about this DIY is that you only need a couple of items to make the mug design:

  1. Nail polish
  2. Warm water
  3. One bowl
  4. Your mug!

Part 1:

Fill the bowl with warm water.

Drop your nail polish into the water in a design that you think would transfer onto the mug well.

I did a couple drops of different shades of the same color, then swirled them around with a toothpick:

Part 2:

Dip your mug into the water so it’s on the marble design.

Lift it out in a circular motion to get the nail polish on most of the mug.

Set down to dry:

After they’re dry, you have a fun new mug to sip out of!
