This summer, instead of sticking to your usual mix and match Vicky S swimwear, try something new (or retro) and rock a one piece suit.
First and foremost, one pieces are extremely comfortable. For example, I purchased a stretchy black Rachel Pally one piece from Revolve last summer. Now I take it with me to every beach vacay because it’s perfect for being sporty but still looking stylish. I can (attempt to) surf, ski, wakeboard, tube, and even run in some of my one pieces. I also tend stick to the rule of thumb of wearing a one piece the first day at the beach to protect more of my skin that hasn’t seen the sun for weeks.
As a bikini lover, I used to shy away from one pieces, thinking they were unflattering and frumpy. However, this style of suit has been making a major comeback during the past few runway seasons because of its unique creative potential. A style that used to be reserved for grandmas has been completely reinvented- the one pieces of today are actually hot! Designers are starting to realize that with a one piece, they can show off the women who wear their collections in a universally flattering way.
Of course, I still adore my classic bikinis, but now I’m not afraid to reach for a one piece before hitting the beach. Check out these hot options below!
