Fall has long been my favorite season. The changing of the leaves is a welcome transition from the sweltering heat of summer; we finally see some relief from the unbearable humidity, classes resume, and we gear up for the excitement of Halloween and Thanksgiving. Here at Wake Forest, fall is one of the most beautiful seasons. Campus buzzes with excitement as students resume classes, the air becomes crisp, and the leaves begin to fall from the large magnolias lining the quad.
We have a host of exciting traditions here at Wake during tailgate season, and Reynolda House Museum of American Art has another that I’m excited to add to my fall lineup! On Thursday, September 15, 6-9 pm, they’ll be hosting the annual Harvest Moon Festival. The event includes a performance by folk-alternative artist Cashavelly Morrison, lawn games and a plethora of beers, cider, and delicious food trucks. For anyone looking for an early-evening stroll have a fun evening, this is a perfect event—and a great way to check out the beautiful estate at Reynolda.
My favorite part of a night out in the fall is finally bringing out my autumn colors and fabrics for those first crisp-weather outings. I’m so excited to show you the looks I’m looking forward to most, and hopefully providing some style inspiration for you as well!
In collaboration with Reynolda House, WFU Style brings you our Fall Lookbook, perfect for date nights, cider sipping or a GNO to remember.
To all the fierce ladies owning their inner Kardashian, take a few cues from Yeezy and keep it simple. A blush nude dress with a thigh high boot is a sexy date night look.
For those looking for a country feel, think textured fabrics. Eyelets, suede, and velvet add depth and visual interest to simple outfit pairings.

Running from class to a fun dinner? Longer blazers keep it appropriate for the day time, but up the chic from a plain cardigan.
