From the moment she learned to sew, Lori knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. Her passion led her to NYC (fashion Mecca!) where she began her career working for various global fashion brands. After several years working in the industry, Lori launched her own label, Jane Summers, the namesake of her two grandmothers.  The collection is available online and in select specialty boutiques.

Jane Summers takes a modern approach to bridal style. The chic little white dresses feature stylish silhouettes, couture-inspired details and beautiful fabrics. The collection offers a variety of silhouette choicesA-line shift dresses, sheath dresses and fit & flare styles. The simple yet distinctive pieces in the collection are designed to appeal to the sophisticated contemporary bride.  The elegant mark of each Jane Summers dress is the signature “Something Blue” lining.

The Jane Summers Spring/Summer ‘19 Collection which debuted during New York Bridal Fashion Week features dresses for every occasion, from Engagement Party and Bridal Shower to Rehearsal Dinner and First Dance.

On September 22nd I had the opportunity to intern with Jane Summers to assist in a photo shoot for this new collection. The shoot took place at the McAlister-Leftwich House , a venue located in the historic Fisher Park neighborhood in Greensboro, NC. While the photographer took photos of the model wearing each dress, I took shots of various “sets” throughout the house styling dresses, accessories, gifts, and desserts. I had a great day interning with Jane Summers. As a Business Marketing student with a strong interest in fashion, this kind of hands-on experience was super inspiring. Check out the website and follow @JaneSummersFashion on Instagram to #SeeJane.
