With every new season, I find myself revamping my style. A change of weather means digging up forgotten sweaters or cute bikinis—it’s a chance to rediscover old favorites and bring in new staples.
Fall is my favorite fashion season. My sweater and boot addictions are put on full display following months of tank tops and shorts. Not only does my wardrobe get to shine, but I find myself becoming more creative with my makeup.
October invites vampy red lips and dramatic smoky eyes, but with none of the chapped skin that comes in December. Here are my current makeup favorites for the fall season.
I discovered this god-send when on vacation in March. I used my first tube for 6 whole months without running out, despite applying 5 or more times a day. For seven bucks, that’s a pretty good deal!
This stuff keeps my lips super hydrated and doesn’t have the weird smell of Carmex. It’s pretty passable as a daily lip gloss look and looks fab layered over lip liner.
When I first saw this collection in Sephora, I thought it was a total joke. 27 dollars for a miniature palette? Seriously?
When I got my hands in this formula, I became a believer. I’m now on my second Smokey Obsessions Palette—be careful, they’re really delicate and prone to breakage—and it’s my daily go to glam. The combo of colors makes it ideal for travel or as a starter palette.
I just picked up the limited-edition Amethyst and Sapphire palettes. I can’t wait to whip up some creative looks!
One of the saddest things about summer coming to a close is losing the sun-kissed glow. I hate having to swap out my summer foundation shade for my one-shade-above-porcelain winter bottle.
Using self-tanners can help ease the transition into full vampire status. I just discovered Tan Luxe’s face drops and it’s honestly a gorgeous formulation. Totally natural looking and mixes well with Tatcha Water Cream. St Tropez is an old favorite of mine—just make sure you don’t sit on anything white for a while after applying.
For many, the Naked Palette was their first major beauty purchase. My mom always took me to the Laura Mercier counter at Nordstrom, so I bypassed that high school milestone.
When I saw it was finally being discontinued, I snagged an on-sale palette for $27 from Ulta. I’m sad I didn’t find it sooner! I might stock up before it’s gone for good.
I was browsing Sephora this week when I realized limited-edition holiday sets are out! I was excited but also appalled seeing as it was still September.
Nonetheless, I decided to order this set of Benefit brow products. I am so obsessed with their Precisely, My Brow Pencil and the Gimme Brow Gel. I’m enjoying the Foolproof Brow Powder way more than I thought I would. It’s a true steal for the price and would make a nice present for sure.
