Save v. Splurge: Beauty Edition

When completing your daily beauty regimen, it’s important to know which products are worth spending a pretty penny on at Sephora, while others found at your local drugstore are just as great.  Here are a few of my favorite impulse splurges as well as my everyday products to save on.

Face Mask: SPLURGE

I will forever swear by the Glam Glow face masks.  Found at Sephora, these tiny jars of heaven will get rid of a blemish in just minutes…I’m not kidding.  From SuperMud Clearing Mask to ThirstyMud Moisturizing Mask, I love to splurge on Hollywood’s “facial in a jar.”

Face Wash: Save

Although I absolutely love my Chanel cleanser that I splurged on in Paris, face wash is not something that you have to break the bank for! Some of my favorite cleansers and washes include Olay Fresh Effects, Cetaphil, and Neutrogena.  All of these products are under $6!

Moisturizer: Save

With so many great low cost brands out there, it’s easy to save on great moisturizer! My two favorites are Olay Complete Daily Moisturizer and Cerave Moisturizing Lotion.  Both brands also have other great options for all types of skin!

Lip Gloss: Save

Lip gloss is something that is used up so quickly, there’s no need to spend a fortune on one tube.  My favorite is the Sephora Collection Glossy Gloss, and a small tube is only $7! It’s long lasting for such an inexpensive gloss and there are a lot of color options to go on top of your favorite lipstick!

Lipstick: Splurge

Exclusively for Sephora, Marc Jacobs beauty its my new obsession.  Its products are amazing and the packaging makes you even more excited to use it.  I am in love with the Kiss Pop lipstick, followed by the Sephora gloss I recommended above.

Bronzer: Splurge

My favorite beauty product of all time, Benefit’s Hoola is my go to for an everyday bronze and glow.  It is easy to use with or without foundation, and looks great on pretty much any skin tone.  P.S: anything by Benefit is worth the splurge!!

Bath Products: SPLURGE

One of my absolute favorites, Kai Fragrance, a beauty brand based out of Malibu has some of the best products out there.  Made in the USA, it is sulfate, paraben, phosphate, and cruelty free.  My favorite products are the body butter, body buffer, and bathing bubbles. Kai is found exclusively online and in specialty boutiques and spas, and celebrities like Lauren Conrad and Kelly Ripa swear by this stuff!!

Enjoy all of my favorite beauty secrets! I hope these equally amazing products at varying price points inspire you to try new things on all ends of the beauty spectrum!

xo,

Catherine
