As college students, sometimes the last thing we want to do is our homework. We’ve all been at that point where we think to ourselves, if I have to do one more chemistry problem, I’ll die. While cleaning your dorm room or facetiming your friends can seem like a good distraction, undoubtedly, the best one is Netflix. On a Sunday afternoon, when you want to escape into another world, these are the Netflix shows for you.
The Office is a cult classic show for a reason. With light-hearted humor and one of the best love stories of any sitcom? (aren’t we all waiting to meet our Jim?), it’s easy to get lost in Michael’s “that’s what she said” jokes for hours on end.
I’m not sure why this show isn’t as popular as it should be. Get lost with the Rose family as they struggle to acclimate to life in the town of Schitt’s Creek. Next thing you know, you’ll be waiting impatiently for new episodes to be released on Netflix.
It is impossible to just watch one episode of this captivating show. Trust me when I say you need to watch All American — unless you have a big test coming up, then it’s probably best to wait until after.
Does this one even need an explanation? Once you enter the Upside Down it’s almost impossible to stop watching.
That 70’s Show
A 90’s show set in the 70’s and binge-watched in the 2000’s. With a young Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, there’s nothing about this show not to love. Enjoy Hyde’s dry humor, Red’s foot in certain places, and see if you can figure out Fez’s real name.
Last, but certainly not least, is New Girl. Follow Jess as she acclimates to living with three very different roommates, and let your worries slip away as you find yourself laughing out loud…in bed…alone.
