Fall 2022 Shopping Trends: Boujee Versus Budget

In my last article I wrote about emerging trends from fall fashion month 2022. After the shows ended, I began to brainstorm how I would incorporate these trends into my wardrobe. After scouring the internet I made a guide on how to shop fall 2022 trends online. With the same seven trends from my previous article, I have provided a more expensive and affordable option for each. Let’s dive into Fall 2022 fashion, Bougie VS Budget!
Micro Mini’s:
Inspired by the viral Miu Miu mini skirt, I looked for some skimpy skirts I would wear. For the budget option, I found a tan mini skirt from Lioness, sold for 54$. For someone who is looking to spend some more money, I suggest this brown micro skirt from Miaou, sold for $155. These versatile skirts can be dressed up or down with any tank, tee, or sweater.
Cutout Craze:
This season we saw a continuation of the popular skin-baring looks on the runways. As a college student anything with a cool cutout is perfect for a night out. Urban Outfitters sells a take on their famous corset with a daring cutout for $59. Another option for a cutout moment is the avant-garde pieces from Rui, this tank is sold for $378 online.
Mesh Mania:
I've always been a sucker for a “cool-girl” mesh moment, and this year they were all over the runway. A mesh piece immediately elevates any outfit. The fabulous Kim Kardashian sells a mesh bodysuit for $58 at SKIMS. Louisa Ballaou sells a modern floral patterned mesh long sleeve that is worth the $260 dollar investment.
Tailored to Perfection:
Another fashion season means another year for design, in my opinion, is to show their own take on a suit. The classic look is back again in countless forms you haven’t seen before. If you're looking for an outfit that won’t break the bank, Bershka sells a lavender suit set with a cropped vest for $100. A more expensive option is a gray suit skirt set sold by the walking advertisement for the Dyson Airwrap, Matilda Djerf. The set is sold on Djerf Avenue for $289.
Oversized Overcoats:
Fall season means falling temperatures, and who said warmth can’t be stylish! Oversized jackets are in, it's time to bundle up and show off your fabulous coats. At Editked you can buy a big black racer jacket on sale for $70. For a timeless but high end look, blank Birger Christenson sells a oversized quilted coat for $320
Leather Everywhere :
Leather is the go to material for any sexy outfit. This season we saw designers take leather to new daring heights. Princess Polly sells an affordable cropped leather vest for $43. For those who are lucky enough to not be tied down to a budget, Miaou sells a leather two piece set, a mini skirt and tank, for $275.
Statement Shimmers:
If you are like me, then you know that every night out is an opportunity to make a statement with your outfit. What better way to do that than wearing eye catching shimmery clothing! Amy Lynn sells a pair of green pants so iridescent that it borders on reflective for $83. The instagram famous Mirror Palais sells their sparkly “Fairy Dress” for $595.
