Luxury Sweatshirts. An Oxymoron?

Yes, you read that right. Luxury Sweatshirts. I don't know about you, but this growing fashion trend is becoming one of my all time favorites, especially since my go-to outfit is a sweatshirt and a pair of leggings. Now that we are entering fall, I know that this habit will grow even more and quickly replace the skirts and jean shorts I’ve been wearing in the summer months. Once it's cold outside, all I really want to do is roll out of bed and don one of my extensive collection of boring, college sweatshirts. I am aware that this often portrays a lack of style, but luckily for me, that is no longer the case!

Many brands, specifically owned by some famous celebrities, have been launching high quality sweatshirts with eye-catching logos and well known patterns. For example, Justin Bieber's clothing line Drew House or Scott Disick’s recent Talentless collection are currently two of the most popular sweatshirts in the world of fashion. I will admit, some of these garments are quite expensive, ranging from $100-$400. However, if you decide to invest in a long-lasting, comfortable piece that steps up your designer game, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Personally, I have yet to commit to a sweatshirt style or brand that I want to save up for, but for now, I have a deep appreciation for this glorified lounge wear.

How does one style this luxurious hoodie? Simply throw it on over a pair of biker shorts, leggings, jeans, or even sweatpants! I just adore the street style of some of the most iconic women in fashion- but all they did was throw on a crew neck!!! Additional tips would be to add a chunky gold chain, an alligator clip hairstyle, small sunglasses, or some fun sneakers! With such a basic canvas, it's easy to dress up this simple look.

Some of the most renowned women of fashion have been caught wearing these simple, yet respectable sweatshirts. Celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid go from strutting on runways to throwing on these luxurious hoodies that make a statement. I will admit that these are a pretty penny, but worth a cute, careless, and comfy look! Maybe look around brands such as Shadow Hill and Madhappy and find a new staple piece for your wardrobe this winter!
